A Comparison of Actual Production Times of Major Video Production Solutions

The Daunting Task of Video Production Starting Point

We all hear a lot about how ‘video marketing is crucial’ and how 'short-form content is the trend’. We encounter case studies often that demonstrate how video can indeed bring about significant results. However, psychically and practically, the threshold to start producing videos can be high.

To capture users who hesitantly stand on this threshold, the market is packed with new solutions armed with 'easy and quick' taglines. (New ones pop up every time I Google…the audacity!)

By the end of last year, I managed to identify about 50 solutions through my own Google searches.

Among the many video production solutions, we have selected the ones that show the best potential for content marketing to participate in an experiment. This experiment will compare and analyze 6 different video creation solutions, with the list as follows:

• Premiere
• Canva Video
• PowerPoint
• VideoStew
• Lumen5
• Filmora

While there's a plethora of template-based services, forcing content into templates tends to limit the production of informational content. So, I only want to carry out the experiment with those solutions that allow me to put my own words into the video just the way I want! (The buildup for those of you asking, "where is THAT solution?!")

Let’s set the experiment in motion!

To compare solutions, I plan on producing the same video using each solution. The video that will serve as a reference was created using VideoStew. It’s a typical piece of short-form knowledge content using AI voiceover that we often see around.
