When it comes to picking the best-suited video format for editing with VideoStew, there's always one genre that never fails to make the list — language learning videos, such as English shadowing. Lately, we're seeing a lot of our clients producing language learning content through VideoStew.
In this interview, we've caught up with Milgarussem, who has been using VideoStew since our service launched.
Milgarussem operates under the motto "English learning made easy from 7 to 77" and is currently serving the 777 English Learning Newspaper. But how do they see video marketing, and how do they utilize VideoStew? Let's dive into their story.
Upon closer comparison - VideoStew it is!
Hello there, Milgarussem here. Initially, I was using Premiere to edit my teaching videos on YouTube, but the editing time was just too much, keeping me away from the channel for a while.
Noticing the popularity of YouTube Shorts, I started to look for AI video editing solutions to jumpstart my YouTube channel again. After exploring various options, VideoStew turned out to be the perfect choice, though I'd like to give a little shoutout to Pictory for a moment.
In fact, Pictory's access to Getty Images meant superior stock video quality. However, its lengthy rendering times and less convenient design aspects made VideoStew the optimal decision for creating language content, and I'm still extremely satisfied with it.
I particularly appreciate the quality of the English AI voice, allowing me to produce content introducing English expressions without the need for additional recording.
From planning to distribution in just 20 minutes
Lately, my main upload format has been short-form videos introducing English expressions one sentence at a time. The format using visuals from TV shows and the one read by AI voice go hand in hand, but the former seems to resonate better with the audience.
With VideoStew, creating such content becomes incredibly simple.
You start by choosing an expression to introduce. Then, you use the clip search engine to gather footage and edit it using VideoStew. From planning to production and distribution, it all takes just 20 minutes. This is thanks to the efficient video editing workflow I've developed. (Tips for creating language learning content with VideoStew)
Based on this productivity, I aim for one video a day. Plus, I'm not just sticking to YouTube; I've expanded to Instagram Reels and TikTok as well.
If you need branding, YouTube marketing is a must
My marketing strategy can be divided into advertising and content marketing. The former includes everything from keyword ads to various display ads on media, which can be quite pricey, even though the return on ad spend isn't necessarily negative.
However, looking at large companies in my field, I noticed they don't run ads at all. Instead, they've amassed 400-500k subscribers on YouTube and have turned that into a major revenue channel for their business. I haven't reached that stage yet, but branding through YouTube directly contributes to the main sales channel of the business.
Thus, I simultaneously distribute my VideoStew-produced short-form videos across three platforms. The response is similar across all platforms, but personally, I believe focusing on YouTube enhances brand power.
The quest for better video quality!
As mentioned earlier, I used to edit my lecture videos internally with Premiere. But discovering VideoStew opened up new possibilities for easily editing our footage.
Until now, I've mainly been using VideoStew in a TTV (text-to-video) style, but I'm keen to explore more formats using its video trimming functionality. It's all about finding formats that generate better engagement on YouTube.
This interview has provided even more insights into utilizing VideoStew across various formats, and I'm excited to dive in. I'm particularly looking forward to trying out voice recording and the automatic subtitle feature!
A few words from the interviewee
That wraps up our chat with Milgarussem from 777 English Learning Newspaper. Milgarussem has been in touch with VideoStew’s customer service and has been a valued customer for over a year now.
We're grateful for their continued use of VideoStew and, following their feedback, are considering introducing a folder feature.
This interview also reinforced our pride in VideoStew as the go-to solution for language video production. If you're interested in learning English, why not subscribe to Milgarussem’s channel and pick up a new English expression every day!
