Can I crop the image?

In the editing screen, you don't actually crop the photo, but rather designate the area to be shown within the element.

1. Set the image element's internal display method to "Fill" or "Fit", then determine the element's size with the red handler.
2. Double-click the image and select Mask(Crop) Settings. The same window opens when you press the Crop button in the Properties Window on the right.
3. Drag the frame on the screen showing the entire original to define and apply the area to be shown. Since the frame maintains the element's aspect ratio, the grabbed dimensions are reflected in the slide as-is.

Video elements can also have their displayed areas designated in the same way. Videos with trim applied will only repeat playback within that range in the crop screen preview as well, so you can adjust the crop while watching the actual scene being used.
